The publication Sergey Yefremov «Against the Stream. Memory of V. P. Obninskiy» as a document of the historical epochs

Abstract

The purpose of the article is characteristic of the publication of Sergey Alexandrovich Yefremov (1876-1939) «Against the Stream», which is devoted to famous public and political figures of Viktor Obninskiy (1867-1916). The value of biographical subjects in a journalistic heritage S. A. Yefremov demonstrated, the perception of the author shapes his character as one of the «significant Other», as an «ideal» representative of the Russian intelligentsia, one of the few who not only consistently defended the liberal democratic ideals, but also contributed to the liberation movement of the non-Russian peoples of the empire, analyzed.
