Open Access Archiving

Open Access Archiving and Long-Term Preservation Policy

The Editorial Board ensures continuous open access to scientific findings and guarantees their secure, long-term preservation. This activity is rooted in the principles of open science, standards of academic integrity, and international requirements for digital archiving.

  1. Principal Repositories and Distribution Platforms

The preservation and accessibility of materials are achieved through a multi-tiered data placement system:

Publishing Platform: All articles, including metadata and archival issues, are hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The platform supports the OAI-PMH protocol, facilitating efficient metadata integration into global scientific registries.

International Indexing: The journal's extensive presence in global bibliographic systems - such as Google Scholar, WorldCat, and DOAJ - ensures additional visibility and the preservation of publication data.

  1. Technical Tools and Preservation Standards

The following tools are employed to protect content from loss and ensure its enduring authenticity:

Digital Identification: Each article is assigned a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier), which guarantees link stability regardless of changes to the web address.

Long-Term Archiving Systems: The journal is integrated with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This system utilizes LOCKSS technology to provide decentralized storage of authentic content copies across numerous global library servers.

Backup Procedures: The editorial office conducts regular technical monitoring and creates redundant backups to prevent data loss resulting from software or hardware failures.

Format Stability: Materials are stored in PDF format, the industry standard for the immutable reproduction of scientific texts.

  1. Self-Archiving Policy and Author Rights

The publication supports "Green" Open Access (self-archiving) principles:

Version Deposition: Authors retain the right to deposit preprints, accepted manuscripts, and publisher-produced PDFs in institutional repositories, on personal websites, or within scientific networks such as ResearchGate.

Terms of Use: When self-archiving, authors are required to provide an active link to the original publication, including its DOI.

No Embargo: Authors may distribute their publications immediately upon release without any waiting period.

  1. Accessibility Guarantees and Ethical Framework

Open Access: In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and Plan S principles, access to full texts is free, permanent, and immediate.

Data Management (FAIR): The journal encourages authors to adhere to FAIR standards, ensuring research data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.

Licensing: Content usage is governed by Creative Commons licenses, permitting the free reading, downloading, and distribution of material with proper attribution.

Access Continuity: Should the publication cease operations, the body of published articles will remain accessible through national digital funds and university library systems.

The editorial archiving policy is reviewed periodically (at least once every two years) to ensure continued alignment with evolving global scientific publishing standards.
