The technical status of the light industry of the ukrainian provinces of the Russian Empire in the middle of the 19 - at the beginning of the 20th century

The article deals with the technical situation of the light industry in the Dnieper Ukraine in the middle of the XIX - early XX century. It was shown the process of transition from manufactory to factory production and the influence of industry on the social and economic development of the region. The article gives information about the training system of the engineering staff and their work in the consumer industry of the Ukrainian provinces. It was made the attempt to identify and describe the features how the light industry factories were supplied by the machines and equipments of the Ukrainian provinces in the middle of the XIX - early XX century. It was emphasized that in spite of the importance and urgency of the problem it isn’t revealed in the historical literature. First of all, it was stated that the technical development occupied a leading place in the socio-economic structure of the society. However, in Ukraine the technical supplying in the XIX century was slight. It was a problem to solve the preparation of the engineering staff for light industry. It is noted that the lack of the technical equipments had a negative influence on the industrial development of the Ukrainian provinces. It turned out that the autocracy was unabled provide further economic progress of the society, to solve the problems of the factories technical modernization and the production industrialization. It was marked in the research that the machines were prodused in Russia and delivered from other countries. The involment of foreign experts was very important at the begining. The higher layer was the most prepared for the technological processes to the end of the XIX century.
