The proposed article examines the informative possibilities of peasant memoir sources of Southern Ukraine of the 20th century. in the context of microhistorical research. The question of the involvement of peasant memoirs in scientific historical developments in a micro-historical perspective is raised, having as its object various problems of its economic, social, cultural and religious spheres. Issues of household organization (housing, household management, food), family relations, traditions, leisure, social relations within the community, international relations, relations of an individual with state mechanisms, self-awareness, spiritual life, mentality, moral principles, local toponymy are considered.
