СТАНОВЛЕННЯ ОРГАНІВ САМОВРЯДУВАННЯ МІСТ ПІВДЕННОЇ УКРАЇНИ В ОСТАННІЙ ЧВЕРТІ XVІІІ – СЕРЕДИНІ XІX СТОЛІТТЯ

Abstract

The origin of urban self-government in the South of Ukraine took place in the last quarter of the XVIII – first half of the XIX century. The formation and activity of the Ukrainian urban selfgovernment was determined by the all-Russian Empire legislation: “The State of Hubernias” and “Bill of rights and profits of the Russia Empire cities”. The foreign trade development cased the reorganisation of the municipalities in the seaports and the establishment of the gradonachal’nik position. The main factors which greatly influenced on the self-government formation were: the administrative-territorial reforms, political and economical changes in Russian Empire during the last quarter of the XVIII – first half of the XIX century.
