  • 2021: Awarded the academic title of Professor.

  • 2019: Defended the doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. Specialization: 07.00.01 – History of Ukraine. Thesis: "Homo Sovieticus Identity Construction (1953–1991): Case of Ukraine".

  • 2011: Awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.

  • 2009: Defended the dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences (PhD). Specialization: 07.00.01 – History of Ukraine. Thesis: "The Opposition Movement in Ukraine and Central-Eastern European Countries (1980s – 1991): A Comparative Analysis."

  • 2004–2007: Postgraduate studies at Zaporizhzhia National University.

  • 2004: Graduated with honors from the Faculty of History, Zaporizhzhia State University, earning a Master’s degree in History.

  • 1999: Graduated with honors from Secondary School No. 1 (named after T.H. Shevchenko), Zaporizhzhia.

Professional Experience

  • 2018 – 2026: Vice-Rector for Research and Academic Affairs, Zaporizhzhia National University.

  • 2014 – 2018: Head of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department, Zaporizhzhia National University.

  • 2010 – Present: Associate Professor, then Professor of the Department of Modern History of Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia National University.

  • 2005 – 2010: Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Modern History of Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia National University.

  • 2004 – 2005: Methodologist at the Scientific and Methodological Center of the Education and Science Department of the Zaporizhzhia City Council; Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the "Premier" Publishing House.

Academic Leadership and Recognition

  • Chair of the Specialized Academic Council D 17.051.01 at Zaporizhzhia National University.

  • Laureate of the Scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for young visionary scientists and doctors of sciences.
