ЗМІНИ У ТАКТИЦІ ТА ОРГАНІЗАЦІЇ ЛЕГІОНУ НА ЗЛАМІ ІІ-І СТ. ДО Н. Е.

У дослідженні розглянуто процеси часткового реформування структури легіону та деяких змін у тактиці римського війська, що відбулися на зламі ІІ - І ст. до н. е. Синтезовано дослідження ряду сучасних дослідників стосовно часткового реформування легіону. Здійснено спробу описати та узагальнити ті зміни, які мали місце у цей період, а також нововведення, які все ще традиційно, проте помилково приписуються Гаю Марію деякими дослідниками в галузі військової історії. Доведено, що процес реформування римського війська відбувався поступово і зумовлювався не лише військовими факторами, а й політичними, суспільними та економічними факторами.
