Раскрывается состояние дискуссии между федералистами – “A Farmer”, “A Citizen of New Haven”, “А Landholder”, “Connecticutensis”, “The People” – и антифедералистами – Э. Джерри, Дж. Масон, “А Federal Farmer”, “An Officer of the Late Continental Army”, “An Old Whig”, “Centinel”, “The People” – в периодических изданиях штата; рассматриваются и выявляются особенности обсуждения темы на конвенте 3-9 января 1788 г.; выявляются последствия ратификации для общественно-политического развития Коннектикута и Соединенных Штатов Америки в период первых выборов в федеральные органы власти.
